Effective: August 7, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Junk Cleaner & Security (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It also describes the privacy rights available to you and how applicable law protects you.
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and agree to the data practices described in it.
Junk Cleaner & Security is a utility application that helps you clean storage, manage files, monitor network usage, and scan for security risks on your device. This Policy covers information handled through the Service in three ways: information you provide, information gathered automatically while you use the Service, and information received through our third-party partners.
Throughout this Policy, capitalized terms carry the meanings assigned in the Definitions and Interpretation section, regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural form.
You are not required to register or create an account to use the Service’s core features. However, if you contact us for support, we may receive the contact information you choose to share with us, such as your email address, together with the contents of your correspondence.
Our analytics and advertising partners may receive device identifiers, such as the Google Advertising ID (GAID) and the Android ID, which help them measure and improve the performance of the Service.
Usage data is collected automatically whenever you use the Service. This may include your device’s IP address, browser type and version, the pages or screens you visit, the date and time of your visit, the time you spend on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
When you access the Service from a mobile device, we may also automatically record the type of mobile device, its unique ID, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browser you use, and similar diagnostic details.
We employ the information we gather for the following purposes:
We share information with service providers who help us operate, analyze, and secure the Service. Analytics partners include Adjust, Firebase, Google Analytics, and Snowball. Our security partner, Trustlook, powers the antivirus engine that protects your device from threats. We also share certain information with advertising, monetization, and mediation partners, including AppLovin, Facebook, Fyber, InMobi, Mintegral, Pangle, TopOn, Unity, and Vungle, to provide, optimize, and measure advertisements and app monetization services.
In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business, we may share or transfer your personal information to the other party.
We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company, subsidiaries, joint venture partners, and other companies under our control or under common control with us.
Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your personal data by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, such as a court or government agency. We may also disclose your information where we act in good faith and believe it is necessary to:
We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Policy. We may keep and use your data longer where needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements and policies.
Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when it is used to strengthen security, improve the functionality of the Service, or when we are legally obligated to keep it for a longer period.
Your information, including personal data, may be processed at our operating offices and at any other location where the parties involved in the processing are situated. This means your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
By consenting to this Privacy Policy and submitting your information, you agree to such transfers. We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy, and we do not transfer personal data to any organization or country unless adequate controls are in place, including controls that protect your data and other personal information.
You have the right to delete, or to request that we assist you in deleting, the personal data we have collected about you. Where available, the Service provides ways for you to delete certain information directly.
You may also update, amend, or delete your information at any time by signing in to your account, if you have one, and visiting the account settings, or by contacting us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you have provided.
Please note that we may need to retain certain information where we have a legal obligation or a lawful basis to do so.
We take the security of your personal data seriously and strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect it. At the same time, no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
To keep Junk Cleaner & Security’s suite of tools running reliably and to provide a personalized experience, the Service may request the following permissions. Each permission is used solely to power the features you interact with and to optimize service delivery.
Access the internet; check network connection status (Wi-Fi/mobile data); view Wi-Fi state and connection details; create network sockets.
These permissions allow the Speed Test and Data Usage Monitor to function. They also ensure the app can receive essential configuration updates and provide context-aware utility services based on your current connection environment.
Access all files on external storage; read from and write to the device’s external storage.
Required for the core storage cleaner and file manager features. This allows the app to identify, organize, and remove junk files, residual data, and duplicate content to help you manage your device’s space effectively.
Antivirus engine powered by the Trustlook SDK.
The antivirus engine is powered by the Trustlook SDK. This SDK provides security services and collects certain information, including a list of your installed applications. It analyzes this data through app collection, static analysis, and behavior analysis to generate a risk report for each app, helping to protect your device from potential threats.
Access precise (GPS) and approximate (network-based) location.
Used to provide region-specific service optimization and to enhance the accuracy of network diagnostic tools. This helps us provide more relevant utility insights based on your general geographic context.
Keep the device awake and prevent the processor from sleeping.
Ensures that long-running tasks, such as a Deep Scan or a complex File Management process, are completed successfully without being interrupted by the system’s sleep mode.
Send notifications; run foreground services; draw on top of other applications; collect app usage statistics.
Used for the following features:
Query and retrieve information about applications installed on your device.
Used for the following purposes:
The Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Where we need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your information and your country requires consent from a parent, we may require your parent’s consent before we collect and use your information.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, you have certain data protection rights under the GDPR. We act as the data controller for your personal data. Your rights include:
We process your personal data only when one of the following applies: you have given consent; processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you; processing is required to comply with a legal obligation; or processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
